"This song was written shortly after hearing about the idea behind this project. Borås has
always been a great city when it comes to creativity, so why hasn't there been a project
like this sooner? I simply wanted to write a rather melodic tribute to Borås. That's all. I
was born here, I've been away for a number of years and returned. If there is something I
can call a homebase in my life, this must be it.”

This is our town
These are the streets
I’ve wandered almost everyday
for oh so many years
I give you the meetings
I give you some break-ups too
and I give you the laughter and the tears
It’s here that I was born
and I have left and then returned
I guess It all goes round and round

Did you see that man
with that sad mustache and pipe
and all his stories from long ago
There’ll come a day
when he is not around
Then, I know, a piece of me will go
It’s in the air I breathe
and in the ground beneath my feet
and it’s Nowhere else to be found
We may complain about the way things tend to be
but only a few ever move out
We may be unaware until at last we see
that our hearts belong right here, no doubt

These are my friends
we grew up together here
We go back far and we stay close
we all go through changes
but there’s no estrangement there
and we share secrets noone knows
and if this big bad world should ever
play to rough with you
Well, at least, there’s one place left to go
We may complain about the way things tend to be
but only a few ever move out
We may be unaware until at last we see
that our hearts belong right here, no doubt
Because
oh, this is our town
this is our town
this is our town

(Klas Qvist)
